Farbman Group Expands Chicago Team With Two New Hires

Midwest commercial real estate company, Farbman Group, announced today the addition of two new employees to its Chicago office. Jason Basso has been hired as a general manager for property management and construction management, and Greg Aikens has been hired as a broker and assistant manager.

“We are doubling down on our hiring efforts in the Chicago market as Farbman continues to grow its operations throughout the Midwest,” said Andrew V. In his new role as general manager, Basso will oversee the management of Farbman Group’s downtown Chicago properties. He will also be focused on supervising construction projects for Huntington Construction, a Farbman Group related company.

Basso joins Farbman Group after owning and operating his own brokerage firm specializing in commercial and multifamily properties. He has over a decade of industry experience and has managed more than $500 million of commercial real estate assets. Additionally, Basso has also spent several years as a project manager in the construction industry.

In his new role as broker and assistant manager, Aikens will manage a wide variety of real estate transactions across Farbman Group’s Chicago portfolio. He will also assist with the daily operations of the company’s properties. Aikens, a University of Michigan graduate, previously worked as a real estate intern for the university’s real estate leasing office. He holds a real estate license in the State of Illinois.
