Being a city with one of the largest Irish communities in the country means that St. Patrick's Day is always a huge deal in Chicago…and nobody celebrates St. Paddy’s quite like The Gage! Located just blocks from the Chicago River, The Gage, has been one of Chicago’s top spots to celebrate Irish food, drinks and culture for over 15 years.

Helmed by Galway, Ireland native Billy Lawless, the refined yet rustic gastropub is popular among locals and tourists alike who flock to the Michigan Avenue spot for modern, elevated takes on classic Irish cuisine – and the perfect pint of Guinness. Two generations of the Lawless family are behind The Gage’s festive atmosphere; they regularly play host to Irish diplomats and have even welcomed the President of Ireland on this cheerful day.

Whether you’re part of the Irish community or just “Irish for the Day,” you’re invited to enjoy an outstanding line up of menu specials, live music and good craic.
