Hundreds Of Flights Canceled, Delayed At O'Hare, Midway

CHICAGO — Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed Wednesday at O’Hare and Midway airports, according to FlightAware, as bitter cold and snow continue to linger over Chicago.

As of 11:30 a.m., 79 flights at O’Hare were canceled and 214 were delayed, according to the digital aviation company. At Midway, 85 were canceled and 25 were delayed, according to FlightAware

Temperatures Wednesday were forecast in the upper teens, although daytime wind chill values were expected to be as low as minus 8 degrees with wind gusts of up to 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The overnight forecast includes possible new snow accumulation of 1-3 inches.
