Visitation, Funeral Set For Fallen Chicago Police Officer

CHICAGO — Funeral arrangements have been set for Chicago Police Officer Andres Mauricio Vasquez Lasso, who died in the line of duty earlier this week answering a domestic call.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. (Cicero Avenue and 103rd Street), Oak Lawn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, Chicago. Interment will be private.

Vasquez Lasso was born June 23, 1990. His watch ended March 1, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Milena Estepa; loving son of Rocio Lasso; devoted brother of Carolina Vasquez; cherished uncle of Alejandra Guevara; cousin of Jhon Vasquez; best friend of Oliver Varela; and adoring dog dad to Nalah, according to the Blake-Lamb obituary.
