Young Adult Writers Workshop presents Unleashed Truth July 21 at 2pm

Emotional and riveting stories by 11 young adults from Chicago and suburbs at Mrs. Murphy's and Sons at 3905 N. Lincoln

Tellin’ Tales Theatre presents their annual production of the Young Adult Writers Workshop on Sunday, July 21 at 2pm at Mrs. Murphy's and Sons, 3905 N. Lincoln in Chicago. Young adults, with and without disabilities, from the city, suburbs and Lodi, WI (see the photos) were coached in developing a personal story around a common theme. This year's theme is “Unleashed Truth.” Tickets are $10. The website is www.tellintales.org.

In the writing process the cast was asked to turn inward and ask who they are as they explored the relationships around them. The result is stories where the writers remove the filters and honor their truth, unleashing powerful messages filled with emotion, insights and transformations.
