Chicago Heights Teen Among 13 Accused In Drug-Dealing Ring

Bloomington police had a 19-year-old Chicago Heights man in custody this week as part of a months-long drug dealer investigation.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL -- A 19-year-old Chicago Heights man was among 13 suspects arrested by Central Illinois police as part of a months-long drug dealing investigation.

Terrance D. Sanders, of (no block given) West Cherry Orchard Court, faces three counts each of dealing narcotic drugs and conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs, according to a WBIW report.

He was arrested by Bloomington police and taken to the Monroe County Jail, where his bail is set at $251,000.

The article cites Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams, who said that many of those arrested are transporting the drugs from the Chicago area.

"Officers secured warrants and searched five homes after undercover officers and confidential informants carried out controlled buys of drugs while detectives conducted surveillance," according to the report.
