 Based on a satirical book and Twitter account, An Act of God is a 90-minute conversation in which God will reveal the mysteries of the Bible and answer some of the greatest existential questions that plague mankind.

The Crystal Lake Area AAUW Branch will host a workshop, from 9am-12pm,&nbsp;to assist Bookfriends International with its “Girls’ Project” to make reusable menstrual pads for schoolgirls in Africa. The project’s goal is to enable girls to attend school more consistently. If a girl can remain in school all month, she won’t fall behind in her classes. If she stays home for a week per month, she may not be allowed by her family to return. She will have less risk of becoming a victim of sex trafficking if she can remain in school. Each menstrual hygiene kit consists of:&nbsp;&nbsp; Two pads — reusable, washable One pair of underwear One quart size durable plastic zipper bag An informational, encouraging brochure Reusable cloth pouch Volunteers invited to assist with cutting fabric and sewing kits. There is work for all skill levels. The Crystal Lake Area Branch, organized in 1957, is one of more than 1,000 branches and 800 college and university partners. The branch meets once a month, from September through May each year. AAUW Crystal Lake Area (IL) Branch - Service Project

Craving fresh lobster? We've got it! We're bringing Happy Lobster to Long Grove, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Lake Zurich, and Crystal Lake on Wednesday, September 11th, so don't miss out.
The Happy Lobster Roll, drizzed with butter, seasoned with house seasoning, and piled on a fresh, sweet brioche bun, is caught fresh every day in Maine and finished at home to perfection. The “Angry” version with giardiniera is great if you like some heat! Both come with a side of chips and malt vinegar slaw…you know, to keep your palette guessing. Other items include grilled cheese (with or without the Lobster!), soups, and incredible sides like the New England Clam Chowder, and Crab Cakes. Don’t forget to add a mini Bang Bang! Pie + Biscuits to your order!
Make sure to order by 12pm on Wednesday. Your order will be available for home delivery between 3:00 - 5:30pm. If you won't be home, please be sure to leave a cooler out to keep your meal as fresh as possible.

In this hilarious, hopeful, and achingly human show, Heidi resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.
"What the Constitution Means to Me" is a one woman play, filmed in front of a live audience and features adult language.
