2 Domestic Battery Arrests: Darien Police

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving domestic battery, disorderly conduct, drunken driving and a warrant. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:

Domestic battery

• A 29-year-old Sandwich man was arrested about 9 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 7700 block of Linden Avenue on a domestic battery charge. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
• A 32-year-old Westmont woman was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Belair Avenue on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

Disorderly conduct

• A 59-year-old Darien man who lives in the 9400 block of Fountain Point Circle was cited about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shell gas station, 8975 Lemont Road, on a disorderly conduct charge. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

DUI

• A 50-year-old Woodridge woman was arrested Sunday on a DUI charge. An officer saw her speeding as she exited the Taco Bell parking lot near Cass Avenue and 75th Street. She then turned south on Williams Street from Plainfield Road. She was clocked speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. The woman was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

• A 27-year-old Hammond, Indiana, woman was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 8 on a DuPage County warrant charging failure to appear in court. Officers were called to the 6700 block of Dale Road for a well-being check. The woman was taken to the Darien police station for pending charges of possession of a controlled substance. She was then taken to the DuPage County Jail.
