Drivers Get Physical After Traffic Crash: Darien Police Blotter

One was ultimately arrested for battery.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Retail theft

  • Employees at the Walmart at 2189 75th Street told Darien police Feb. 20 that at 1:41 p.m., two unidentified men stole an electronic appliance from the store. The suspects were reportedly last seen getting into a four-door gold sedan. The appliance, which wasn’t specified in police reports, is valued at $428.

  • A car accident got ugly Feb. 21 when the two drivers got physical after running into one another. The accident took place around 4:45 p.m. in the 800 block of South Frontage Road, according to police reports. Megan Garza, 24, of Berwyn, was ultimately arrested and charged with battery before being released with a court date of April 13 in Wheaton.
