DEERFIELD, IL — Deerfield high school basketball players Charlie Robin, Ophir Zetouni, Jesse Shapira and Jake Miller were among the standouts during the inaugural Chicagoland Jewish Basketball Showcase, held Sunday in Skokie. The game raised nearly $500 for Hadassah and the Hadassah Medical Organization in Israel, according to organizers.

Robin plays for Deerfield High School, while the other trio are all seniors at Deerfied's Rochelle Zell Jewish High School.

Robin spoke to Patch in March regarding his senior year playing for the Warriors. He had been selected for the Lake County All-Star boys basketball game, one of only 20 boys selected for the accolade out of 30 area high school teams. Robin was the lone selection from DHS.

"It's definitely an honor to be selected to play in this game," Robin, a two-year varsity starter and captain, said at the time about the Lake County game. "We have been playing against each other for as long as I can remember, and to be able to come together and play one last game is very special."
