DEERFIELD, IL — Earlier this week, middle school students from the Hellenic American Academy in Deerfield traveled to Chicago to take part in the "2024 Holocaust Remembrance Day — Greek Society, Greek Jews, and Surviving the Holocaust" event at University of Illinois Chicago.

According to the school, the program was led by Professor Nicholas Doumanis, chairman in Hellenic studies at the university, and Professor Young Richard Kim, head of classics and Mediterranean studies at UIC.
