Longtime Deerfield Resident Dies At Florida Home

Louise Lins, 91, and her husband, Robert, called Deerfield home for more than 65 years.

PALM BEACH, FL — Louise Lins, 91, a longtime resident of Deerfield, passed away peacefully on the early morning of Sept. 2, as the harvest full moon was setting over the golf course at her condo in south Florida. She was comforted by family, Kelly caregivers, and TrustBridge Hospice of Palm Beach, Florida.

Louise was born in 1928 in Chicago to Alex and Helen Dombrowski. She attended Schubert Grammar School, Foreman High School and Loyola University all in Chicago. At Loyola, Louise met her husband. Robert Lins, and they made their home in Deerfield for over 65 years, then became "snowbirds" to south Florida.

Louise is survived by daughters, Patty Lins (Larry Sutter) of Houghton, Michigan, Pamela Lins (Halsey Rodman), of Brooklyn, New York, and son-in-law, Douglas Bakke (Rhonda Paker), Sedro-Woolley, Washington, and grandchildren, Tess Bakke (Andy Miller), Robert Bakke and Lena Sutter. Preceding her in death was husband, Robert, daughter, Karan, and sister, Eleanor.

The family wishes to thank Kelly Caregivers and TrustBridge Hospice. Contributions in her memory can be made to Patty Turner Center, Deerfield, or TrustBridge Hospice, Palm Beach, Florida. The family will have a private celebration of life.
