Menorah Lighting Highlights Upcoming Holiday Event In Deerfield

The lighting, organized by Chabad of Deerfield, will take place on Dec. 18.

DEERFIELD, IL — A special public menorah lighting ceremony is planned later this month in Deerfield. The fun, sponsored by Chabad Deerfield, begins at 4 p.m. Dec. 18, at the plaza between Starbucks and Bobby's Deerfield on Deerfield Road.

Mayor Dan Shapiro will join Chabad of Deerfield for the ceremony. The event is organized by Rabbi Chaim Schanowitz, of Chabad of Deerfield, and all are welcome to attend.

In addition to the lighting, there will be latkes, doughnuts, live music and greetings from local dignitaries.
