Money Laundering Warrant Arrest Made At Jail: Riverwoods PD Blotter

A Washington, D.C. resident turned himself in on warrants for theft ($10,000) and money laundering, the latter involving a not-for-profit.

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Terry T. Campo, 66, of Washington, D.C., surrendered himself on April 4 at the Lake County Jail for an outstanding Riverwoods Police Department arrest warrant for theft (over $10,000) and money laundering. The case was investigated by Riverwoods police detectives in mid-2023 and involved donated funds made to a not-for-profit foundation, which were diverted and stolen by a fiduciary. Campo was processed by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and was assigned a court date of May 28.

Jeffrey Liam O'Leary, 22, of the 7700 block of W. Victoria Street, Chicago, is accused of speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 4:29 a.m. April 21, near Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released and assigned a court date of May 15.
