DEERFIELD, IL — Construction activity is underway on the site of a Chick-fil-A restaurant at the site of the demolished office supply store at 99 Waukegan Road, just south of Lake Cook Road in Deerfield.

The Office Depot that formerly operated at the site had been vacant four five years before being torn down, a representative of developers Brett Katz and Josh Levy told members of the Deerfield Plan Commission before it recommended project's approval last August.

The new restaurant was anticipated to open by spring 2019, but developers are now refusing to say when it is expected to open its doors, according to the Deerfield Review.
