SWALCO to Have Electronics Recycling Dropoff Center in Highland Park

Firearms Training Center at 1180 Half Day Road will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and the first Saturday of the month.

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County’s free electronics recycling program is set to resume on January 2 at six sites across the county - including one in Highland Park.

Firearms Training Center, 1180 Half Day Road will be open for dropoffs on Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on the first Saturday of the month, also from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Other sites open for dropoffs during various times are located in Antioch, Grant Township, Grayslake, Wauconda Township and Waukegan.

These sites have been established to “begin collecting old and unwanted electronics,” according to the Lake County News-Sun.
