Where To See Santa Near Deerfield This Christmas Season

DEERFIELD, IL — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Deerfield families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In the Deerfield area, kids have several chances:

• Breakfast with Santa, Egg Harbor Cafe, 740 Waukegan Road, Deerfield. Santa will be roaming the restaurant from 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 8, taking pictures with kids and their families as they enjoy breakfast. No reservations are required for this event.
• Autism Research and Holiday Event, KGH, 1161 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 9. Join KGH and Rush University Medical Center for a free event and get support with registering for SPARK, the largest genetic study of autism ever. Study enrollment will take roughly 30 minutes. Stay afterward to enjoy all the holiday family event has to offer, including a sensory Santa, holiday games, crafts, treats, and more. Make a reservation here.
• Santa at Madame Zuzu's, 1876 1st St., Highland Park. Come to Madame ZuZu from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 16, to take your holiday Polaroids with Santa in front of the starburst. There will also be Christmas activities, hot cocoa and lots of great shopping. Make a reservation here.
• Northbrook Court, 1515 Lake Cook Road, Northbrook. Santa will be in town starting Friday, Nov. 17, through Dec. 24. Reserve your spot here to get your photo taken with the big guy.
• Heritage Oaks Golf Club, 3535 Dundee Road, Northbrook. Have breakfast or lunch with Santa at this Northbrook Park District-sponsored event on Saturday, Dec. 2. Make a reservation and find out more here.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged. There are Bass Pro Shops located in Gurnee, Hoffman Estates and Bolingbrook.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Chicago, Santa arrived at the 111 N. State St. location on Nov. 4 and will be there through Christmas Eve. Reservations are required. Find out more here.

Santa is coming to Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores on Black Friday, which is Nov. 24 this year. In nearby Northbrook, see Santa at the store at 199 Skokie Blvd. (Village Square of Northbrook).

JC Penney stores, including stores in Niles, Schaumburg and Vernon Hills, are offering professional portraits with Santa through Dec. 18.
