When he worked in the healthcare industry, John Contreras discovered a passion for trying to get people engaged with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That’s one of the things that led to him co-founding Matchup, an online platform that allows people to participate in fitness challenges with one another. Contreras realized the corporate jobs of many people have led to sedentary and inactive lifestyles. Matchup has helped him break that trend with his clients by using technology to emphasize health and fitness education and prevention.
