2024 Evergreen Park Mustangs Football Schedule Released

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — High school football players will be taking to the gridiron as practices can officially start on Aug. 12.

A nine-game regular season, released Thursday, runs through the end of October, before culminating with the Illinois High School Association Football State Finals (November 29 to 30) at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The IHSA will be celebrating its 50th state championship games.

The Illinois High School Association, in partnership with Max Preps, recently announced schedules for the varsity teams. In Evergreen Park, fans will especially be keeping tabs on EPCHS, as well as the area Catholic high schools.

This fall, Evergreen Park Community High School will be joined in the South Suburban Conference Red by Oak Lawn, Richards (Oak Lawn), Reavis (Burbank), Argo (Summit) and Eisenhower (Blue Island).

James Ramazinski returns as the head coach of the varsity Mustangs football team, which finished the 2023 season with a 6-4 overall record in the South Suburban Red Conference.

Locally, Evergreen Park’s regular season begins on the road Aug. 30 when the Mustangs face the Marengo Indians. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
