This will be a one of a kind event that unites cosplay and comics, pop culture and authors. In addition, you will likely find comic artists, cosplay accessories, comics and toys resellers, POP figurines, perler art and the like.

The tenth annual Christmas Without Cancer 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, September 21st, at 9:00 am at Circle/Klein Park, and will honor local cancer warriors who are currently battling or in remission from various forms of this life-changing disease. The Christmas Without Cancer 5K Run/Walk is one of the largest races in the city, and the most important fundraiser of the year for the organization, with more than 1,100 participants anticipated to raise funds for people and families who are battling cancer.

Registered participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, with an option for chip timing available for those who choose to run the course. Runners and walkers must register BEFORE August 28th, 2024, to guarantee a race t-shirt. Online registration will close Wednesday, September 11th at 12:00 pm. 
Individual registration is $40. Day of race/on-site registration will be open from 7 am - 8:30 am (Please note: Day of race registration t-shirts will be first come, first served basis. Supplies and sizes will be limited.) In-person registration will also be available at the Hamilton B. Maher Community Center, located at 3450 West 97th Street in Evergreen Park on Wednesday, September 18th from 3 pm – 7 pm, and Thursday, September 19th from 3 pm – 5 pm, and on race day, starting at 7 am. A virtual race option is also available.
The run/walk will be split into age groups, beginning at ages 1 – 9, and above. The top male and female in each age range will be awarded a trophy.
