Armed Robber Targets 2 People Outside Walgreens In Frankfort: Police

Police are asking anyone with info to contact them. The armed robbery is the second one in less than a week in Frankfort.

FRANKFORT, IL — Two people were the targets of an armed robbery, the second one within a week in Frankfort, according to police.

The armed robbery happened about 9:33 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Walgreens, 7209 W. Lincoln Highway, according to police.

The two people got out of their vehicle and were approached by a man with a handgun, police said. The robber took both persons' belongings, though police did not specify what was taken. Neither victim was hurt, police said.

The robber then fled on foot heading east, police said.

Police described the robber as a Black man, around 20-30 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a deep voice, wearing a black hoodie and face mask.
