FRANKFORT, IL — A house on the 23000 block of South La Grange Road caught fire around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Frankfort fire officials told Patch. No injuries were reported.

A passerby reported seeing smoke coming from the house Tuesday afternoon. The fire started in the basement and extended to the first floor, Chief Robert Wilson said. A cause for the fire has yet to be determined.

The fire was under control in about 30 minutes after crews made their way into the basement from the outside cellar. Wilson said they couldn't get to the interior stairs due to the smoke and lack of visibility.
