FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department has identified the man who was found dead Thursday in a home fire in the 11200 block of Patrick Court. Frankfort Police Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said the man's name was Russell Vance.

The home fire is still under investigation, Keegan said. It was unclear if Vance, 50, was living in the home at the time, since the house was in the process of foreclosure, Keegan said.

The Frankfort Fire Protection District got numerous calls at approximately 6:19 a.m. Thursday for the home fire, according to officials. Firefighters responded and saw a large fire in the rear of the ranch-style house.
