Geneva, IL - August 13, 2024 — Anderson Humane and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the inaugural and highly anticipated Adopt & Shop Geneva event, taking place on August 17th from 11 am to 3 pm. This family-friendly event will be held in the downtown shopping district of Geneva, Illinois and, promises a day filled with community spirit, adorable adoptable pups, and local shopping delights.

Highlights of the Event:
- Pup Adoptions: Meet and adopt a variety of lovable pups, from Anderson Humane looking for loving homes. The event will feature a wide range of pups and dogs of all types rescued from under-resourced shelters in the local area and several states. Adoption counselors will be available to assist in finding a perfect match.
- Pup Passport to Adventure: Participants can pick up a “Pup Passport” at any of the participating retailers or the Chamber of Commerce office on Third Street. This passport will guide attendees on a fun-filled journey up and down Third, First, and State streets, with stops at participating businesses to meet and pet these adoptable pups. Collect stamps from each location for a chance to win a Geneva Chamber Gift card and discover new favorites in Geneva!
- Geneva Chamber of Commerce Adopt & Shop Map: Utilize the Geneva Chamber of Commerce map to visit the local shops that are supporting Anderson Humane. A number of the participating retailers will have special offers for those who stop by to meet the adoptable pups at their stores.
Community Impact:
The Adopt & Shop event is designed to foster community engagement and support for local businesses while promoting animal welfare and supporting Anderson Humane. By participating, residents and visitors can make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need of a loving home and explore the unique offerings of Geneva.
