A great way to learn more about solar energy and solar panels installations!

Announcing the Glenbrook Solar Tour 2023, Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Glenbrook Solar Tour 2023, co-sponsored by Greener Glenview and Go Green Northbrook, will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The owners of 10+ homes in the two villages with renewable energy installations will share their passion, knowledge, and experience of owning, maintaining, and living with renewable energy. In addition, SS Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview will participate, showing visitors its new solar panel system.

The Glenbrook Solar Tour 2023 is being held in conjunction with the Illinois Solar Tour. This free event offers the opportunity to visit innovative green homes and see how solar energy can be used easily and efficiently. The tour hopes to inspire people to make sustainable energy choices that reduce costs, support energy independence, protect against power outages, and reduce carbon emissions.

Mary Munday, co-founder of Greener Glenview and tour coordinator for Glenview, said, “The Glenbrook Solar Tour 2023 offers the public a chance to see affordable and practical solar installations in our neighborhoods that benefit the environment and are part of the solution to our nation’s energy problems.” She added, “During the tour, you will meet people who have installed solar arrays, learn why they did it, the cost, what they love about it, and lessons learned.”
