Fashion Showcase From Glenview's Youth Services Returns For 2nd Year

The show will feature fashion from local high school students, while benefiting the Glenview-based mental health organization.

GLENVIEW, IL — Mark your calenders for some high fashion this June. For the second-straight year, Friends of Youth Services will present a fashion showcase, "For the Love of Style," with proceeds benefiting Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. The organization provides mental health services for local children and adolescents.

This year's event is planned for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Loyola Academy's McGrath Family Performing Arts Center, 1100 Laramie Ave., Wilmette. The show will feature fashion from Margo Boutique, located at 1879 Tower Drive, Glenview, as well as local high school students.

Organizers say attendees can expect to be "wowed as the runway comes alive" with innovative designs from budding fashion designers. The latest fashion trends from Margo Boutique, as well as Kendra Scott Jewelry, will be on display for purchase after the show.

"We're so lucky to have such an outstanding organization in our community to serve the growing mental health needs for families," said Markie Condon, president of Friends of Youth Services. "We're excited to provide a venue to spotlight the extraordinary talents of our community's high schoolers and promote local stores."

Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for attendees under the age of 21. The ticket includes entry to the event, a welcome drink tailored to the attendee's age group, small bites and a chance to win an exciting prize in an exclusive drawing. In addition, the first 100 registrants on the Youth Services website will receive a gift bag highlighting local stores.

Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook nurtures more than 800 local children annually through its inclusive programs and unparalleled scholarship initiatives. "No child will ever be turned away from the critical services they need," according to the organization.
