Glenview Farmers Market Returns On Saturdays Starting In June

GLENVIEW, IL — It's almost farmers market season in Glenview. Starting June 15, the farmers market at Historic Wagner Farm will run from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Oct. 19.

Established in 1988, and held at the farm since 2007, everything at the market is grown within 200 miles of Glenview. Local vendors sell seasonal produce, as well as meat, eggs, cheese, bread, pastries, fresh cut flowers, coffee, chocolates, French pastries, smoked fish, herbs and spices, honey and empanadas.

Free parking is available in the Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church and Historic Wagner Farm lots, with no parking on Wagner Road. Organizers said wagons will be available for attendees to use at the market and to take their purchases back to your vehicle in the parking lot.

Market vendors, according to the Glenview Park District, include:

• Barry's Berries, Covert, Michigan (fruits and vegetables; full-time vendor)
• Bees in Beezyness, Riverwoods (honey, candles and wax; part-time vendor Aug 5.-Oct. 21)
• Black Phoenix Woodworking, Woodstock (wooden cutting boards, coasters, customized wood products; part-time vendor on July 1, July 8 and July 15)
• Bonnie's Crafts and Collectibles, Glenview (collectibles; full-time vendor)
• The Cheese People, Quincy (specialty cheeses; full-time vendor)
• Chocs N Boxes, Norridge (specialty chocolates, full-time vendor)
• Deep River Roasters, Deep River, Iowa (coffee beans, hot coffee and iced coffee; full-time vendor)
• Dinky Delights, Chicago (made to order donuts; part-time vendor on Aug. 5, Aug. 19, Sept. 2, Sept. 16, and Oct. 14)
• Finn's Ranch, Buchanan, Michigan (meats and eggs; full-time vendor)
• Geneva Lakes Produce, Burlington, Wisconsin (fruits and vegetables; full-time vendor)
