Northfield Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of Juvenile: Police

The 39-year-old reportedly sexually assaulted the juvenile acquaintance Sunday at a Glenview home, according to police.

GLENVIEW, IL — A 39-year-old Northfield man is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile acquaintance in local home this past weekend. Marcos Sanchez-Hernandez, 39, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, and had a warrant out of Lake County for failure to appear in court for a driving under the influence charge.

Sanchez-Hernandez was due in court Wednesday for a conditions hearing.

Police responded to the home Sunday following witness statements that Sanchez-Hernandez had sexually assaulted the minor. Sanchez-Hernandez reportedly fled the home before police arrived.

At 5:35 p.m. Monday, Sanchez-Hernandez was found in the 200 block of Monroe Road, Des Plaines, and taken into custody.
