Glenview Park District Swears in Two New Board Commissioners

Dave Dillon, who has served on the board since 2015, has also taken over as the board's president.

GLENVIEW, IL — The Glenview Park District Board has a new president and two new commissioners. At its May 25 meeting, Dave Dillon took over as president and Jen Adams and Kimberly Vazquez were sworn in as commissioners.

Dillon, who has served on the board since 2015, replaces Joe Sullivan following his year-long appointment to the position.

Adams and Vazquez, who were elected in April, replace retiring commissioners Dan Peterson and Jen Roberts, who served 12 years and six years respectively on the board, according to a news release from the Glenview Park District.

Adams will serve on the Youth Sports Affiliate and Special Revenue Facilities committees. Vazquez will serve on the Park and Facility Services and Environmental Committee and the Recreation, Swimming Pools and Museums and Historical Preservation Committee.

Adams, who has lived in Glenview for 10 years, is a certified public accountant. She has three children.

“I decided to run for Park Board Commissioner because I have a passion for our parks and
programs,” Adams said. “Access to high-quality outdoor space and recreation are essential for
building healthy and vibrant communities.”

Vazquez, who grew up in Park Ridge, has lived in Glenview for five years.

“I want to help support our community by helping to establish or maintain services for the
people our Park District serves,” Vazquez said.
