PEORIA, IL — Freshman Maria Perakis, a graduate of Glenbrook South, has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after tying for 10th at the Little Rock Golf Classic earlier this week.

After an opening-round 74 Sunday, Perakis carded a one-over 73 Monday and wrapped up the fall with a 72 Tuesday as she tied for 10th overall at 219 to match the lowest 54-hole score by a Bradley freshman. Her 219 was the lowest three-round total of the fall for the Braves as she helped Bradley tie the ninth-best 54-hole team score (900) in program history.
