IHSA Football Playoff Brackets: Find Out Glenbrook South Who Faces

GLENVIEW, IL — The playoffs are here. On Monday, the Illinois High School Association released the dates and game times for the first round in all eight classes, following the conclusion of the nine-game regular season.

The postseason culminates with state championship games scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 24-25 at Illinois State University.

Locally, Glenbrook South has qualified for the postseason (4-1 conference record, 4-5 overall). The No. 30-seeded Titans will begin play with a first round game at Barrington (9-0). Kickoff is 7 p.m. for the Friday game. The Broncos, who garnered the 3-seed in Class 8A, got the better of the Titans on Sept. 8, with a 27-19 win at GBS.

GBS, coached by David Schoenwetter, finished second this fall in the Central Suburban - South Conference. After losing their first four games, the Titans have won four out of their last five games.
