​Last Call To Recycle Holiday Lights, Christmas Trees In Glenview

Residents can drop off holiday lights for recycling at the Public Works Service Center through Jan. 31.

GLENVIEW, IL — With January almost over, so is the end of the Village's holiday light and tree recycling program. Unwanted holiday lights and real Christmas trees can be dropped off for recycling through Jan. 31 at the Public Works Center, northeast corner of East Lake Avenue and Shermer Road

A marked receptacle has been placed outside the center at curbside for collection, according to the Village.

String lighting and extension cords are acceptable for recycling. Officials said garland, live greens, wreaths and other non-recyclables are not accepted.

In addition, Christmas trees can be dropped off at any of the following locations through Jan. 31:

  • Johns Park. 2101 Central Road
  • Flick Park, 3600 Glenview·Road
  • Cunliff Park. 540 & Echo Lane
  • Cole Park, 1031 Kenilworth Ave.
  • Willow Park. 2600 Greenwood Ave.
  • Gallery Park, 2001 Patriot Blvd.
