New York Co-Worker Won't Take No for an Answer About Dating: Police

Plus: Wilmette man charged with DUI after fleeing the scene of 2 accidents.

Coming on Too Strong

An employee at a business in the in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported Oct. 26 a case of phone harassment from a fellow in employee at one of the company’s New York stores. The two met at a managers meeting there in August 2014, and since that time, the individual has continually called the victim to start an unwanted dating relationship.

Identity Theft

Rolando Mickiel, 33, of the 7600 block of South Honore Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a fraudulent driver license and resisting arrest of a peace officer after an incident Oct. 28 in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Fleeing the Scene of 2 Accidents

Brent White, 49, of the 1000 block of Knollwood Lane, Wilmette, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of two property damage accidents Nov. 1. White damaged his vehicle when he hit a tree at Warrington Lane and Glenlake Drive and then side swiped another vehicle in the 3300 block of Glenlake Drive, where he was stopped by police at about 8:30 p.m. White posted a $1,000 bond, and his court date is set for Dec. 15.

Driving Under the Influence

Angela Bira, 40, of the 6300 block of North Melvina Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding at around 1 a.m. Nov. 2, in the 300 block of Waukegan Road. Bira posted a $1,000 bond, and her court date is Dec. 10.
