Storms with 35 MPH Wind Headed Our Way

The National Weather Service predicts spots of heavy downpour this afternoon.

A line of showers and thunderstorms are moving across northern Illinois from the northwest, producing heavy downpours and gusts of 35 miles per hour in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.

These heavy rains could produce flooded/ponding in the roadways, the NWS warns, with one-inch-per-hour rainfall a possibility.

People are reporting that storm-warning sirens are sounding in McHenry County.
