Super Bowl party, Princess Ball, art show and more at Glenview Parks

Cold Days, Warm Kitchens Cooking Series

  • 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4 and 11
  • Historic Wagner Farm, 1510 Wagner Rd.

Learn some fun and inventive cooking projects to get you through the winter. Each class focuses on a specific food/beverage. Must register in advance. Sign up for all four classes at the same time and receive a 10% discount. All skill levels are welcome.

Calling All Football Fans! Come celebrate the big game with family and friends and leave the cooking and cleaning to us. The fee is $75 per person which covers four hours of open bar, appetizers and a spread of food at halftime, including pizza, wings, salads and more.

Community Open House

  • 6:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8
  • Glenview Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave., Lakeview Room

Community members are encouraged to attend the open house to discuss the future of the park district and share ideas. These meetings will help develop a 10-year master plan for the park district.

Princess Ball

  • 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10
  • Wyndham Glenview Suites, 1400 Milwaukee Ave.

Spend a night to remember with your little princess! Girls ages 4-12 and their special dates are cordially invited to the Princess Ball. Everyone should wear their finest ballroom attire and join us for a magical night of dancing and dining. Registration of $40 per person is due in advance. Please register each princess and her date separately.

Restoration Work Day

  • 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11
  • The Grove, 1421 Milwaukee Ave.

Help collect seeds and remove non-native, invasive plants to make way for wildflowers, grasses and trees. Bring work gloves if you have them. Work parties may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Park Center Winter Art Show

  • Daily, Feb. 1-28
  • Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave.

Get out of the cold and check out some local art! Stop by Park Center to see all of the great art work submitted by Visual Art Class students for this annual art show. The show is comprised of art from all ages and levels of art students. This event is free and on display during regular business hours.

Friday Night Meltdowns

  • 8:15-10:15 p.m., Fridays through May 5
  • Glenview Ice Center, 1851 Landwehr Rd.

Join us for an awesome skate and dance party! A DJ plays today’s hits and disco lighting shines on the ice throughout the night. This is a great night out for teens and admission is only $8 per person. Bring your own skates or rent a pair for the evening. Rental skates are $4 per pair.
