Where To See Santa Near Glenview This Christmas Season

GLENVIEW, IL — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Glenview families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In the Glenview area, kids have several chances:

• Holiday Faire, Saints Peter & Paul Green Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Road, Glenview. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. The event will feature homemade Greek cuisine, Greek pastries, boutique shopping, gingerbread house decorating and of course, Santa. The event will benefit Misericordia Home Chicago and Camp One Step. Free admission.
• The Grove Christmas Candlelight Tours, The Grove National Historic Landmark, 1421 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview. The event will have multiple time slots from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Step back in time to discover the enchanting sights and sounds of a traditional 19th century family Christmas during this candlelight event. Guests will be ushered through the festively adorned rooms of the 1856 Kennicott House by a historically-dressed guide. Tours end with a visit and small gift from Santa. Register here.
• Breakfast with Santa, Egg Harbor Cafe, 2350 Lehigh Ave., Glenview. Santa will be roaming the restaurant from 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 19, taking pictures with kids and their families as they enjoy breakfast. No reservations are required for this event.
• Northbrook Court, 1515 Lake Cook Road, Northbrook. Santa will be in town starting Friday, Nov. 17, through Dec. 24. Reserve your spot here to get your photo taken with the big guy.
• Heritage Oaks Golf Club, 3535 Dundee Road. Have breakfast or lunch with Santa at this Northbrook Park District-sponsored event on Saturday, Dec. 2. Make a reservation and find out more here.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged. There are Bass Pro Shops located in Gurnee and Bolingbrook. The closest Cabela's is in Hoffman Estates.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Chicago, Santa arrived at the 111 N. State St. location on Nov. 4 and will be there through Christmas Eve. Reservations are required. Find out more here.
