Where To See Santa In Grayslake

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Grayslake families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In Grayslake, kids have several chances:

Santa will be out from 3 to 4:45 p.m. and from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 24 at the Grayslake Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market. More information is available here.

Santa will be available for visits starting Saturday and continuing through Dec. 24 at Hawthorn, 122 Hawthorn Center in Vernon Hills. More information is available here.

Santa will arrive at Gurnee Mills, 6170 W. Grand Avenue in Gurnee, on Nov. 30 and will be available for visits through Dec. 24. More information is available here.

Santa will make an appearance at the Libertyville Tree Lighting, which will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 26 in Cook Park, 413 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville and there will be an area set up for you to get your picture with him. More information is available here.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Chicago, Santa will be at the downtown Chicago Macy's, on the 5th floor at 111 N. State Street starting in November and continuing through the holidays. Reservations are required and more details are available here.

JC Penney stores, including stores in Algonquin, Vernon Hills and Schaumburg are offering professional portraits with Santa on select dates in the coming weeks.
