Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Batman

HINSDALE, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Hinsdale Humane Society. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Batman, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

The society said Batman is a handsome, 2.5 year old boy, who as part of the shelter's upcoming "Night at Pawgwarts" event on Oct. 29, will be sorted into his appropriate Harry Potter house in time for that event. Early guesses are Gryffindor based on his courage and athleticism.

While Batman doesn't have a red cape, he does have a blue bone that he carries with him at all times in case of emergency. He also has special ears that help him to fly.

What else can we say about this boy? He's a superhero in a dog package, ready to find a forever home with a family looking for a super dog.

Come meet Batman in our Jordan Crist Dog Den at the Pet Rescue & Resource Center operated by Hinsdale Humane Society.

The Hinsdale Humane Society is located at 21 Salt Creek Lane, in Hinsdale. The society is open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays; 12 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
