HINSDALE, IL – More turbulence has rocked Hinsdale High School District 86's basketball programs.

On Monday, Erin Navolio, Hinsdale Central's girls basketball head coach, and two assistant coaches resigned from their positions, the school confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

That resulted in the postponement of Tuesday's game against Proviso West High School.

The school's athletic director, Mike Jezioro, will fill in while his department searches for interim and permanent replacements, the school said in a statement.

Jezioro is working with his Proviso West counterparts to reschedule the game, according to the statement.

"We want to thank the Red Devil community for its patience as we navigate this situation, and for its continued help in supporting the growth, development and success of our student-athletes," the school said.

Asked for comment, Navolio said in an email that she, the assistant varsity coach and the junior varsity coach resigned. She said she had no other comment.

According to Navolio's LinkedIn page, she has coached girls basketball for Hinsdale Central for more than a decade. She became the head coach in 2022. She teaches at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in La Grange.

The coaches' exit is the latest problem for the school district's basketball teams.

A couple of weeks ago, the mother of a South boys basketball player sued the district after her son did not make the cut. She claimed it was in retaliation for her son's allegation that the former head coach bullied him.

The school district let the boy back on the team days later.
