Interforum Holdings has opened and begun leasing Lakeside Village of Oakbrook, a 315-unit apartment community in Chicago's submarket of Oak Brook, Ill.

"We wanted to build truly Class A resort-style community that has so many amenities, conveniences and luxuries built into the property that a person who lives here would feel more like they were staying in luxurious resort, but without losing the comfort of a cozy home," Alex Zdanov, CEO of Interforum, shared. "We built Lakeside Village of Oakbrook envisioning that kind of a lifestyle."

FILLING A NEED IN CHICAGO

"There are very few high-end opportunities in the suburbs of Chicago, and none that provide as many conveniences and amenities that this development has," added Zdanov. "Because the suburban area provides more land space, we were able to do far more than the high-end properties at the elite addresses in downtown Chicago."

Interforum was the developer of the property and is also handling leasing and management in-house. McShane Construction served as the contractor. Financing for Lakeside Village of Oakbrook was provided by CIBC Bank, Heartland Bank, Leaders Bank, West Suburban Bank, Evergreen Bank and Bradford Allen Capital. The community is within close proximity to restaurants, highways, shopping and walking and biking trails in Du Page County.

"We believe we're filling a need in this area for a leasing community that would like all of the benefits of custom ownership, a feeling that their living space is in fact their home, and that they don't have to settle for anything less than that sense of home to have the flexibility that leasing provides,"noted Zdanov. "We don't want them to 'give up' any convenience or amenity to their lifestyles to make this choice. Just the opposite, we want them to never want to leave the property because of everything that is available to them right here."
