HINSDALE, IL - A significant donation to the Pet Rescue & Resource Center from the Tuthill family of Hinsdale means a name change for the center operated by the Hinsdale Humane Society. A new sign for the Tuthill Family Pet Rescue & Resource Center at 21 Salt Creek Lane in Hinsdale is in the works, according to the humane society.

“I’ve always believed that pets and families simply go together," said Florrie Tuthill, the woman behind the sponsorship donation. "The children learn so much from caring for a pet, and there’s nothing like returning home to the unconditional love a pet provides. To help Tom [Van Winkle, Executive Director, HHS] and the Hinsdale Humane Society make pet ownership available to more and more families, well, I’m just thrilled.”

Van Winkle said the humane society is grateful for the Tuthill family's support.

The Tuthill family is known in the near west suburbs as the force behind the Burr Ridge-based Tuthill Corporation that manufactures industrial goods.
