Woman Stabbed At Homewood Pizza Place, Police Search For Suspect

According to Homewood police, a woman was found with stab wounds at Mod Pizza Friday morning. The man accused of stabbing her fled the area.

HOMEWOOD, IL — A woman was stabbed at a Mod Pizza in Homewood Friday morning, police said.

According to police, officers arrived at the 17631 South Halsted location Friday shortly after 10:30 a.m. and found a woman with stab wounds. The woman was taken to a local hospital but officers said the wounds seemed to be "non-life-threatening."

Police said the man who stabbed the woman fled the restaurant and had not been apprehended as of Friday afternoon. Security camera footage showed the man was about 2o years old and wearing a black hat that had "Security" written on it.
