✨ Come relax in the scenic park every Thursday in June, July and August to enjoy quality, family entertainment on the big bandshell along the waterway downtown Joliet.
🌳 Bring chairs and blankets for hill seating. Concessions and cash bar available. Picnic baskets welcome. ⏳ We started as "Concerts in the Rough" in 1974

Joliet, Ill. – The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency shortage as the nation faces the lowest number of people giving blood in 20 years. Help those in need as the University of St. Francis (USF) hosts its next American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, September 13, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Assembly Hall Gymnasium at USF’s St. Clare Campus, which is located at 1550 Plainfield Road in Joliet. The drive is open to the community.
For an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit <a href="https://www.redcrossblood.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">redcrossblood.org</a> and enter “60435” in the red “Find a Blood Drive” box on the home page. You can save up to 15 minutes when you donate blood by using RapidPass. The Warriors Walk Dinner is a yearly event that recognizes and appreciates all of our sponsors for that year. The evening is comprised of entertainment, raffles, award presentations, and a keynote speaker, along with food and drinks. This year, the dinner will take place on Friday, September 13th, 2024, at the Thomas E. Hartung American Legion Post #1977 in New Lenox, IL, from 5:00 pm-10:00pm. Ticket prices are $35.00, which includes all food and drinks. The dress is casual, and we encourage an environment of “come as you are”; the public is welcome to attend.&nbsp;Ticket sales will take place every fish fry Friday at the Harry E Anderson VFW Post #9545 in New Lenox, IL, and also every Queen of Hearts Friday at the Thomas E Hartung American Legion Post #1977 in New Lenox, IL.&nbsp;If tickets are still available, they can be purchased the event night.
The Warriors Walk envisioned an event like this to provide a platform for our sponsors, donors, and participants to receive direct information on how their efforts and money are being utilized. We are proud to announce that for the fifth year in a row, the HeadStrong Project will receive all proceeds raised by the Warriors Walk in the calendar year 2024. To date, the Warriors Walk is on track to have raised a combined total of 100k that has been donated to the HeadStrong Project.
Each attendee of the Warriors Walk Dinner will be able to hear directly from our Founder, Ryan Brazel, and learn about the successes and future visions of the Walk. Sponsors will be highlighted and awarded with plaques from the Harry E Anderson VFW Post #9545 during a presentation to all attendees. The presentation will also include keynote speaker Joseph E. Troiani, Ph.D. of the Adler University in Chicago, who will delve into military psychology and the hardships our Service Members and Veterans must endure for a lifetime. Finally, the James L Bartz Award will be presented to the individual whose combined efforts raised the most monetary donations for the Warriors Walk this year.
So please, come out and join us for an evening of celebration and remembrance as we work to build this coalition to combat Veteran suicide. We can’t wait to see you there!
