Joliet Drug Bust Marks Largest In August For Joliet Police

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department issued a press release on Friday morning revealing that 35-year-old Peotone resident Nathaniel Kilburn was arrested on two counts of possessing a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. He's now in the Will County Jail because of an outstanding arrest warrant.

Two other associates of Kilburn, 69-year-old Michael Carson of Joliet and Scott Wells, 54, of Joliet, were both arrested as well. Carson was arrested on three counts of possession of controlled substances and Wells was arrested on four counts of delivery of controlled substances.

Carson and Wells received notices to appear at the Will County Courthouse in connection with their drug charges.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:

Following a months-long investigation conducted by the Joliet Police Department Narcotics Unit, officers executed a search warrant at a house in the 400 block of East Bevan Drive on Thursday at 8:55 a.m.

Kilburn, Carson, and Wells were placed into custody without incident. It was determined that Kilburn possessed an active Will County warrant for failing to appear in court on previous theft charges, Joliet police advised.
