Joliet's Chloe Crim Shines at AAU Junior Olympics As All-American

JOLIET — The city of Joliet is celebrating a remarkable achievement by one of its own. Eleven-year-old Chloe Crim, of the Aurora Flyers AAU team, has returned from the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina, as an All-American!

Competing at the prestigious event held at HBCU North Carolina A&T, Chloe demonstrated exceptional talent and determination in track and field. In a fiercely competitive field of young athletes from across the nation, Chloe made her mark by earning All-American honors. She secured and claimed an impressive 3rd place in the 1500M race for her age group and 7th place in the 800M race.

Chloe’s performances were a testament to her hard work, dedication, and the support of her family and coaches at school and the Aurora Flyers. Her achievements reflect not only her personal commitment to excellence but also the strength of the athletic programs within Joliet.

“We are so proud of this girl. She has worked so hard this year, academically and athletically, so to see her dedication and commitment pay off is a proud moment for us,” said her parents Ernest and Cassie Crim. “Her success at the AAU Junior Olympics is a reminder that you just have to keep going. This is her fourth year participating and her first time receiving this honor. So, in this case, the fourth time was the charm."
