Memorial Day Remembrance Events Planned By Mokena VFW

MOKENA, IL — The William Martin VFW Post 725 is scheduled to hold its annual Memorial Day remembrance events beginning at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Cemetery, located at Denny Avenue and Wolf Road in Mokena.

The remembrance ceremony will be moved indoors at the Mokena VFW, 19852 Wolf Road, in the event of poor weather.

Following the ceremony at Pioneer Cemetery, the pubic is invited to the Mokena VFW for free hot dogs.

There will be a dedication adding Gerald Rentz to the William Martin Post 725 Memorial Plaque at approximately 11:30 a.m. Following the dedication, students from All About Music and Children's Theatre will present a Memorial Day tribute.
