University of Tampa's May 2024 Commencement Held
The University of Tampa hosted a commencement ceremony on May 4 to honor the 1,717 degree-seeking candidates at the University's 158th commencement. The event was attended by the students, their family members and friends, UT faculty and staff members, and the general public. The ceremony included remarks by Marty Rifkin '82, co-founder of Northwest Natural Products; Dr. Xavier Cannella '78, peripheral vascular and general surgeon; and the student challenge speaker. Local Northbrook students receiving degrees include:
- Alisha Poothurail received a Bachelor of Science in Biology BS.
- Eileen Grishko received a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology BS.
