Northbrook Chamber Connects Businesses to Cook County Resources

Small business assistance includes business advising, resources, and informational events.

The Northbrook Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been named a referral partner to help connect businesses with services from the Cook County Small Business Source (“the Source”). This appointment recognizes the NCCI’s ability to expand the Source’s reach in providing no-cost business advising, resources, events/webinars, grants and financing to small businesses.

Since its launch in 2020, the Source has worked with over 67,000 small businesses with a wide variety of services, including $67M in grants distributed to businesses with 20 employees or less in 2020. NCCI partnered with the Source in 2023 to encourage grant applications; more than 40 small businesses received grant funding through the Chamber’s efforts alone. Membership is not required to receive assistance from the Northbrook Chamber.

Business owners can learn more about Source opportunities in the Business Resources section of the Chamber’s website. Entrepreneurs are also invited upcoming information sessions on August 12, 13, 14 and 15 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Chamber Office, 2002 Walters in Northbrook. Chamber staff will answer questions and provide referrals to helpful County resources for business needs. These free sessions are open to Chamber members and non-members; registration is requested.
