Northbrook Symphony Orchestra Announces 44th Season

The 2023-2024 season kicks off with a family concert Sunday at Glenbrook North High School.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Local lovers of symphonic music can look forward to the upcoming 44th season of the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, which kicks off Sunday with a family concert at Glenbrook North High School.

The show, as part of the 2023-2024 season, will feature Classical Kids Live!, who will present "Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery." The show for all ages will begin at 4 p.m. at GBN's Sheely Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $12.50 for general admission, complimentary for children between the ages of 6 and 17 when accompanied by an adult.

NSO's subscription season begins next month with consecutive Sunday concerts featuring "Two Generations," on Oct. 22 and Oct. 29. Robert Chen, Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, is slated to play alongside his daughter, Beatrice, as the pair does Mozart's, "Sinfonia Concertante." The second show will feature violinist Ilya Kaler and his song, Daniel, performing Brahm's "Double Concerto."
