Armed Employee Drives Away Group Attempting To Steal Car: Midlo Police

According to police, a Bill Kay Ford employee confronted a group of armed men who broke a car window and tried to steal it.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — A car dealership employee confronted and drove away a group of men who police say attempted to steal a car Thursday evening.

According to police, four men arrived at the Bill Kay Ford at 14633 South Cicero Avenue Thursday at around 7:15 p.m. Two of the four men got out of their car and wielded handguns while telling employees to step away from a car.

The two men broke a customer's window and got into the car, police said. Then, another employee who was armed with a gun came out of the dealership and confronted the group. The men fled in the car they arrived in.

Police said the all four men were wearing masks and fled the area northbound in a Dodge Durango that had stolen plates.
